TNT Day 2

Notes:

Holy Poo.  Today was a day for mental toughness.  Performance was OK but there was a lot of quit in me on this one.  Gutted it out and finished it up.  Felt like shit.  The Garmin had my avg HR at 170…I’m going to die.

On the bright side I really slept well last night.  Didn’t have any low blood sugar issues.  Mood is pretty decent.  I’m freakishly sore.  One thing that I noticed on day 1 was that I had a hard time hydrating.  Day 2 felt like I was pissing sand and it was definitely NOT a refreshing lemonade color.  2liters later some of the soreness dropped off a bit.

TNT Day 1

TNT. I started this diet as a last ditch effort to drop some weight in order to train a little harder and run a little faster. 4 weeks of “Plan A” means a super duper lack of carbs then it’ll drop to “Plan D” to add some carbs back in and get a little more sanity back in the world. My only concern with the plan is that the severe lack of carbs is going to rock my world. My sessions tend to be pretty short and hard, that’s not a good combo for that diet. On the other hand, it’s four weeks. I’m pretty positive I’ll lean out quick, it’s just a matter of how painful it will be!

Day 1:

Lots of cheese. I grilled a bunch of meat on sunday and have it in ziplock baggies. Boiled some eggs. Chopped up some vegi’s. Got a drawer full of pepperoni. Doing pretty good. The only problem I had was a drop in blood sugar at one point in the day. Got a little sleepy\groggy, that sort of thing where everything is going well and you find yourself resting your head on the desk. When that one happened I grabbed a piece of cheese and some nibblets and all was well with the world again.
